SOLD Status Listings Coming to REALTOR.CA in Saskatchewan, SASKATCHEWAN REALTORS® ASSOCIATION

November 28, 2025

REALTOR.ca, Canada’s most trusted real estate platform, is introducing another layer of transparency in Saskatchewan. Beginning November 12, 2025, listings on REALTOR.ca will display a Sold status once a firm sale is in place, allowing consumers to follow a property’s complete journey – from Active to Conditional to Sold to Closed.

This update gives the public a clearer understanding of how the market moves, while maintaining full confidentiality around sold prices. Only property status will be displayed; sale prices will remain private and available exclusively through a Saskatchewan REALTOR®.

“For most people, buying or selling a home is one of life’s biggest decisions,” said Chris Guérette, CEO of the Saskatchewan REALTORS® Association, “and the market in Saskatchewan can sometimes feel challenging with our lower-than-average inventory numbers.” Saskatchewan’s demand has been much stronger than its current supply, which means listings often progress quickly through the sales process and can provide the impression of a lack of transparency. This enhancement helps consumers see a more complete picture of a property’s life cycle and strengthens trust in the REALTOR® brand by showing how professionals guide clients through every stage of the process.”

The feature will also extend a REALTOR®’s digital visibility between the sale and possession date, acting as a virtual “sold sign” on REALTOR.ca. Once possession occurs, all MLS® listing data and advertising are automatically removed, leaving only basic public information such as address, map, and Street View image, ensuring compliance with provincial advertising guidelines.

“As the real estate landscape evolves, so do consumer expectations,” added Guérette. “Our Association is committed to moving forward with thoughtful, responsible innovations that build trust, enhance professionalism, and keep REALTORS® as the trusted advisor at the centre of every real estate transaction.”
