Honouring Canada’s Women in Business, Leadership, Accountability and Influence, BUZZ

March 8, 2026

For decades, BUZZ has proudly supported women in business. What began as a commitment to amplify meaningful voices has grown into a powerful platform where leaders connect, ideas are shared, and opportunities take shape.

Through BDM BUZZ Digital Magazine, our stages, private leadership gatherings and growing community, we have had the privilege of spotlighting remarkable women who are building impactful businesses across Canada and beyond. Many of these leaders have been featured on our covers, profiled in editorials, invited to speak on our BUZZ stages, or welcomed to join our BUZZ Leadership and Ambassador Teams. Others have joined us at our table where thoughtful, uplifting conversations unfold and where genuine collaboration creates momentum.

In many cases, companies and industry leaders reach out to us directly asking for recommendations. They are looking for trusted voices, strategic thinkers and strong professionals to collaborate with or bring into their organizations. It is always an honour when those calls come in, because it gives us the opportunity to introduce them to outstanding women and men who are doing exceptional work in their fields.

Over the years, we have supported and worked alongside many incredible women and men, particularly within the real estate industry and supporting sectors. Watching their businesses grow, evolve and thrive has been both inspiring and humbling. Success rarely happens overnight. It is built through consistency, resilience, relationships and a deep commitment to doing the work.

At the same time, there is an important conversation that women in business must continue to have with honesty and accountability.

One of the most empowering things we can do as leaders is to take ownership of our paths. Opportunities will not always arrive on the timeline we expect. Deals fall apart. Partnerships change. Markets shift. In industries like real estate, where performance is highly visible and competition is strong, it can sometimes feel easier to place blame when things slow down.

But true leadership requires something different.

Blaming other women, or men, for missed opportunities or stalled progress does not move us forward. In fact, it weakens the very foundation of empowerment that so many women have worked tirelessly to build.

Empowerment is not about tearing down another woman’s success or assuming someone else’s progress came at an expense. It is about recognizing that there is room for many leaders at the table. It is about understanding that every business journey is unique, and that timelines, strategies and outcomes will look different for everyone.

When we shift our mindset from comparison to collaboration, powerful things begin to happen.

Instead of asking why someone else succeeded, we begin asking what we can learn from their journey. Instead of focusing on perceived barriers, we focus on building stronger businesses, deeper expertise and more meaningful relationships. Instead of fearing another woman’s success, we celebrate it, because every strong leader raises the standard for the entire industry.

The Canadian business and real estate communities are filled with extraordinary women who are leading with integrity, innovation and determination. These are women who wake up every day committed to building sustainable businesses they are proud of. They mentor others, support their communities and help shape the future of our industry.

That is why this month at BUZZ we are proud to spotlight Canada’s Leaders of Influence.

Throughout the month, we will be featuring women who are making a significant impact in business and real estate across the country. These leaders are not only achieving exceptional results within their organizations, they are also contributing to the growth and professionalism of the industries they serve.

Their stories are powerful reminders that success is built through hard work, vision, perseverance and the courage to lead.

We invite you to follow along as we introduce these remarkable women and share their insights, experiences and perspectives on leadership, growth and influence.

You can follow the features throughout the month on Instagram at:

Our hope is that these stories inspire meaningful conversations, encourage collaboration and remind women across Canada that leadership is not about competition, it is about contribution.

To every woman building a business, leading a team, supporting clients and shaping the future of our industries, we applaud you. Your work matters. Your leadership matters. And your dedication continues to move our industries forward.

At BUZZ, we remain deeply grateful for the trust and support of our community. As a proudly Canadian-led business that is now expanding into the United States and Europe, our commitment remains the same: to elevate strong leaders, facilitate meaningful connections and create spaces where business conversations lead to real opportunity.

This month, and every month, we celebrate those who lead with purpose.

To all of Canada’s Leaders of Influence, we honour you

Virginia and Bella Munden, Co-Founders BUZZ
