According to the Winnipeg Regional Real Estate Board (WRREB), sales of residential homes increased 11 percent in February, while average prices climbed 14 percent to $458,064. Active listings dropped 15 percent compared to a year ago.
Daphne Shepherd, 2024-2025 President of the Winnipeg Regional Real Estate Board, says February was a record month for residential detached average prices. “February represents the seventh consecutive month in which the All MLS® sales total was that month’s third best result on record and the eighth consecutive month with All MLS® sales increases over the previous year,” Shepherd said.
Still, despite the impressive performance in the prairie municipality, Winnipeg enjoys one of the country’s most affordable real estate markets.
