The Top of the Industry Is Getting a Room of Its Own, MARY ANNE GILLESPIE, YOUR RENDEZVOUS

August 31, 2026

Rendezvous, a 25 seat mastermind created and owned by Mary-Anne Gillespie, launches globally by invitation only, with its first room at REMAX Activate 2026 in Victoria, supported by REMAX Canada.

Twenty five of the highest producing REMAX team owners in Canada will spend a half day behind closed doors this September. There will be no keynote, no slide deck, and nothing for sale. Each operator will put a live constraint in their business on the table, and the room will solve it.

The session is Rendezvous, an invitation only mastermind for top performing team owners created and owned by Mary-Anne Gillespie, founder of Red Apple Coaching. Rendezvous is a global initiative. Its inaugural room takes place at REMAX Activate 2026 at the Victoria Conference Centre, September 21 to 24, supported by REMAX Canada, with Don Kottick, President of REMAX Canada, opening the session. Gillespie moderates.

The format is deliberately austere. Seats are capped at 25, a number that will not move. Every attendee is invited, not registered. Each is vetted against verified production records, and each arrives with one problem worth solving and one quarter’s worth of targets to set. Attendees leave having committed their next 90 days in front of peers who can hold them to it. A private dinner follows, with seating reshuffled to engineer conversations that would not otherwise happen.

“Top producers don’t need another presentation. They need peers who operate at their level and will tell them the truth,” said Gillespie. “The room is the product. The moment you let the 26th person in because they asked nicely, you’ve built a conference, not a mastermind.”

The timing is not incidental. With consolidation reshaping brokerage economics across North America, the operators carrying the largest teams are making structural decisions about headcount, splits, lead spend and succession with very little peer level counsel available to them.

“Every team owner in that room is making the same five decisions right now, in isolation, and mostly guessing,” said Gillespie. “There is enormous, expensive duplication happening at the top of this industry. Rendezvous exists to end it.”

“Mary-Anne is a renowned coach who’s worked with some of the top real estate professionals in the industry,” said Don Kottick, President of REMAX Canada. “We are excited to have her at our annual REMAX Canada Activate Conference this year, where she will host an invite-only workshop with some of our top REMAX Canada producers on how real estate professionals can grow their business through strategic marketing and collaboration.”

Gillespie is an unusual choice to run a room like this, and a deliberate one. She built the number one office in the world for production before moving into coaching full time, and has since coached two of Canada’s #1 REMAX teams, Peggy Hill and Rob Golfi. Few people in the profession have done both: operated at the top of the production rankings, and then coached the people who now sit there. Known in the industry as the David Goggins and Tony Robbins of coaching, she works almost exclusively with brokerages, team owners and sales organizations rebuilding systems that have stalled at scale.

“I don’t believe in mainstreamed coaching. Volume programs produce volume results,” said Gillespie. “At the top, it’s a personal journey. It has to be built one operator at a time, and today’s market punishes anyone who thinks otherwise.”

She has run masterminds for high performers before. For more than seven years, Gillespie built and led high performer mastermind groups inside a major United States real estate firm. Rendezvous is the format she has wanted to own outright, and launching it in Canada first was personal.

Her second résumé is the one people remember. Gillespie once weighed 350 pounds. She now races as an Ironman World Championship athlete and competes annually. She tends to be blunt about the connection: performance is a system, and systems can be rebuilt at any weight, in any market, at any age.

“I’m not there to teach. I’m there to run the room, keep it honest, and make sure nobody leaves with a vague plan,” said Gillespie. “These are people who have already proven they can execute. What they’re short on is an outside read and a hard deadline.”

Rendezvous will continue past Activate 2026 as a recurring mastermind for a curated group of team owners, combining in person sessions with ongoing accountability between meetings, and will expand into additional markets. Seats will remain invitation only.

Invitations for the September session have been issued. The room will close at 25.
