breathtaking new interior by internationally acclaimed Antonio Tadrissi—ushering in a new benchmark
for retail in the city.

More than 60 years after first opening as an open-air shopping centre, Bayview Village is entering a new era with the completion of its extensive interior renovation, designed by Antonio Tadrissi. Rooted in elevated finishings, warmth and modern sophistication, the highly anticipated transformation honours the centre’s storied legacy while signaling to the future of what will be one of Canada’s most prestigious mixed-use
developments, led by QuadReal Property Group.

A Refined Interior Inspired by European Luxury

The transformation is designed to elevate the visitor experience through a refined, contemporary environment, while preserving the distinctive qualities and timeless sense of elegance that have long defined the centre.

“The renovation of Bayview Village represents a thoughtful evolution of a destination with a remarkable legacy and a deeply rooted place in the lives of those who have visited it over the years,” says Chrystal Burns, Executive Vice President, Canadian Retail Experience. “For generations, Bayview Village has been woven into the fabric of the neighbourhood as a place where people have gathered, celebrated milestones, and created lasting memories. This transformative investment allows us to elevate the everyday visitor experience, while
preserving the character that has made the shopping centre a luxury lifestyle destination for over 60 years.”

The vision comes to life through a refined, sensory-rich environment: artisanal marble tile laid in elegant chevron patterns, brass and copper detailing, custom infinity seating, and hand-troweled Venetian plaster ceilings, all brought to life through enhanced lighting and striking architectural moments throughout.

The striking new “Big Bang” chandelier anchors Centre Court as a dramatic focal point, while the two-storey “Lady Flamingo” sculpture stands as a monumental artistic installation within Bayview Village. Interior Ficus trees are thoughtfully integrated throughout the redesign, reinforcing Bayview Village’s long-standing connection to nature and its open-air origins.

“The reimagining of Bayview Village is far more than a renovation – it’s an opportunity to create an entirely new experience,” says Antonio Tadrissi, the visionary interior designer behind the centre’s new design. “I wanted it to feel less like a place you pass through and more like somewhere you’re drawn into, where thoughtful details, beautiful materials and unexpected moments come together.”

More Than 60 Years of Curated Retail

For generations, Bayview Village has served as the destination of choice for Toronto’s most discerning shoppers. Located at Bayview Avenue and Sheppard Avenue, the centre today is home to over 90 luxury retailers, restaurants, boutiques, and wellness concepts curated for fashion-forward, design-conscious, and experience-driven consumers.

Originally opened as an open-air shopping centre in Toronto’s Bayview Village neighbourhood, the centre became enclosed in 1977 and has since established itself as one of Canada’s most prestigious retail destinations. Today, Bayview Village continues to evolve its carefully curated tenant mix with notable new additions to the centre including HANK., Tilley, Pür & Simple, Kit & Ace and Level Up Hot Yoga, as well as McEwan Fine Foods opening in 2027.

A Haute New Vision: 22-Acre Master-Planned Community

The completion of Bayview Village’s interior renovation marks an important milestone in the reimagination of the broader 22-acre master plan, which will introduce new residential, retail and public realm offerings.

The master plan will transform one of Toronto’s most beloved retail destinations into a complete, design-forward community. Envisioned as two distinct, yet connected villages, the development will unfold in phases, balancing a sense of intimacy with urban energy.

Construction is underway on the North Village, the first phase of the redevelopment. A vibrant open-air retail promenade will become the social spine of the district, linking three elegant new residential buildings to the reimagined shopping centre and a 40,000-square-foot public park at it’s edge. A future phase along Sheppard Avenue, the South Village, will introduce an exciting new pedestrian-centric district where luxury, culture, wellness and commerce intersect.

Once complete, the master plan will add more than one million square feet of residential space and more than 100,000 square feet of new retail, complementing the centre’s existing offerings and supporting its continued evolution as one of Toronto’s premier luxury lifestyle destinations.
