Topics included:

· Understanding probate, power of attorney, and risk exposure

· Strengthening cybersecurity awareness in an increasingly digital industry

· Staying aligned with regulatory expectations and professional standards

Attendees also heard from Jean Lépine Administrator of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), who provided valuable updates on regulatory direction and the importance of maintaining trust and accountability within the profession.

“This session reflects our commitment to ensuring our members are not only informed, but prepared,” said CKAR President Carrie Patrick. “In a rapidly changing environment, access to credible information and expert insight is essential to protecting both consumers and the integrity of our industry.”

As conversations around housing continue to intensify across Ontario and beyond, CKAR remains focused on playing an active role in shaping informed, solutions-driven dialogue. Through ongoing engagement, education, and collaboration, the Association is committed to supporting a strong, resilient housing landscape in Chatham-Kent, one that reflects the needs of both today’s market, and tomorrow’s CK communities.
